”I look might fine in my faux Burberry pants honey!”
Fashion faux pas was probably the first thing that came to mind when you read ‘faux Burberry’. Lol, let me explain! It’s funny cause most people have mistaken these pants for Burberry while they’re not..I think. These pants are very much thrifted as is the blazer. I went on my casual Thrift store stroll the other day and just happened to run into these dimes. Why I’m not sure whether it’s Burberry or not is because all the labels were cut out of the clothes, so I guess that’ll be a mystery forever. However what we do know is that it makes for an amazing 90’s inspired outfit. And that’s the most important thing that it looks good and is comfortable!
What originally inspired the look was definitely the recent Paris Fashion Week street styles from my favourite bloggers and other style icons. I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, pastels is definitely a thing this Spring, hence the pastel blazer. It’s hotter than ever with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Tibi, Tom Ford and Michael Kors, just to name a few, broadcasting it wildly in their shows. Plaid however started earlier last year but I’ve noticed that it took a different twist in the Tommy Hilfiger show. Which was expected but unexpected at the same time. If that makes any sense. I felt like Calvin Klein’s Fal18 show broadcasted this trend most to my liking, so I had to give my own twist to it. Let me know how you think I did in the comment section 😉
