Calvin Klein releases a chunky sneaker!

Louis, Calvin and Balenciaga are trying to take all my coinszzz! Ever since September 7th 2017 nothing was the same. It was on this day, that I got word that Balenciaga would drop their now infamous Triple S sneaker on the 21st of that same month. I think I’ve been saving up to buy me a pair of these sneakers ever since, a year has past and I still don’t own them. To make matters worse the likes of Louis Vuitton, Yeezy and Chanel dropped their very own ”Dad shoes”. Then Balenciaga again during Paris Fashion Week in March, with their new sneaker referred to as the trail runner. This made my effort to save up even more stressful. Especially since I am a thrift hoarder aka self proclaimed thrift queen. You know how much you can get at the thrift shop for $795,-? A LOT!! So I just decided to ignore this trend until it would magically disappear, as do many other trends.

”I thought not!’, is what the lovely people over at Calvin Klein screamed at the top of their longs. I just found out about the drop of their 205W39NYC Carlos 10 sneaker. Which probably stands for; 205 West 39th Street. Just a guess since it’s the location address of the Calvin Klein Headquarters in New York City. And at the beginning of this month, Calvin Klein also launched a new Paris headquarters for its 205W39NYC line. So the release of this sneaker is all in good timing.

The chunky sneaker trend sees no sign of slowing down. They’re everywhere! For the design itself. It’s a low-top leather sneaker coming in multi colour combinations. Round toe. Tonal lace-up closure. Logo pull tab at neoprene tongue and heel collar. Suede panel at sides. Snap-back strap at heel, which is adjustable and the logo is printed at the suede heel counter. Get you a pair, as it retails for $591,- (about €555,-).

What do you think about the Calvin Klein 205W39NYC Carlos 10 sneakers? Are they worth the hype? Will you buy them? Which one is your favourite colour? Let’s get the discussion popping in the comment section.
